Cain Vineyard & Winery moves to Banville Wine Merchants for New York distribution

Cain has found a new group in New York to “carry the bag” and tell its story. “The fit is perfect,” said Cain’s sales manager, Katie Lazar. “Banville is small, family-owned, with no more wines than they can actually know, and a team that is passionately committed to selling wines from vineyards rather than empty brands.” Banville Wine Merchants began as a national importer of fine Italian wines, and launched its distribution division in 2011. Notes Lazar, “They’re in perfect alignment with our values as a steadfast vineyard-driven estate.”

“After more than twenty five years with Winebow, leaving has been difficult, but it has been handled with care and grace. Many of the people at Winebow feel like family to us,” said Chris Howell. “We’ve worked with them for so long, we’ll miss them, and we’re deeply appreciative for what they accomplished with Cain.” In a world sometimes noted for its cut-throat tactics, this departure has been the exception. “Winebow treated us with the utmost courtesy, and we thank them,” said Howell.
