Michael Kasper joins Napa Valley-based Gamble Family Vineyards as National Sales Manager
(March 3, 2017; Oakville, Calif.)—Tom Gamble, owner of Gamble Family Vineyards in Oakville, California, announced today that wine industry veteran Michael Kasper has joined the team as national sales manager. Kasper, who is based in Miami Beach, Florida, will oversee Gamble Family Vineyards’ sales and distribution throughout the United States, with the exception of California.
Kasper brings more than 15 years of experience in super-premium wine sales to Gamble Family Vineyards, and most recently served as the Southeast director of sales for Napa-based John Anthony Vineyards. His extensive work experience includes roles as Southeast division manager for Hess Collection Winery, vice president of sales for Luna Vineyards in Napa, and Midwest regional sales manager for TOG Wines, a Sebastiani Family wine brand. Prior to that, he held managerial sales positions with South America Wine Importers, Michael-David Winery, and Vin DiVino, a Chicago-based wine importer.
“We’re eager to have Michael lead our national sales,” says Tom Gamble. “We’re confident in his ability to cultivate new and existing distributor relationships as we continue to grow Gamble Family Vineyards’ presence in high-end wine retail shops and restaurants across the country.”
About Gamble Family Vineyards:
Founded by third-generation farmer Tom Gamble in 2005, Gamble Family Vineyards owns approximately 175 acres of prime estate vineyards from many of Napa’s most respected AVAs—Oakville, Mt. Veeder, Rutherford and Yountville. Its winery and by-invitation-only tasting room have a quiet presence, sitting modestly in an isolated nook off Highway 29 in the heart of Napa Valley’s Oakville AVA. Set back from the main road, Gamble’s mission here is to carry on the heritage of farming that his ancestors sowed when they came to Napa as cattle ranchers in 1916. With a primary focus on Bordeaux varietals, including Sauvignon Blanc, all of Gamble Family Vineyards’ wines are produced in small quantities, with careful attention to farming. Winemaker Jim Close has been with Gamble Family Vineyards since its inception. Gamble Family Vineyards offers four wines through wholesale/distribution, including the Rosé ($22), Gamble Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc ($25), Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ($50), and Paramount Proprietary Red Blend ($90).
