Napa Valley-based Gamble Family Vineyards grows presence in wholesale markets with new distribution partnerships in Illinois, Arkansas, and West Virginia
(April 13, 2017; Oakville, Calif.)—Tom Gamble, owner of Gamble Family Vineyards in Oakville, is pleased to announce new distribution partnerships in Illinois (Breakthru Beverage), Arkansas (Natural State Distributing), and West Virginia (Galaxy Distributing), a sign of the winery’s growing momentum in the national marketplace. These distributors are the latest to add Gamble Family Vineyards’ allocation of wines to their portfolios. Gamble’s recently appointed national sales manager, Michael Kasper, will help cultivate these new distributor relationships and continue to grow Gamble’s presence in high-end wine retailers and restaurants.
Breakthru Beverage Illinois is one of the state’s biggest and most notable distributors. The company is the result of the merging of Charmer-Sunbelt and Wirtz Beverage Illinois, the state’s oldest and most established distributor, which was founded in 1946. Using a combination of state-of-the-art technology and a competitive, knowledgeable salesforce, Breakthru Beverage continues to be one of the Illinois’ leading wine and spirits distributors.
In Arkansas, Natural State Distributing is a female-owned distribution company based in Little Rock. Founded in 2006, Natural State represents a diverse portfolio of suppliers and manufacturers of wine, spirits, and beer from around the world.
West Virginia-based Galaxy Distributing has added Gamble’s allocation of wines to its portfolio of high quality wines from highly sought after winegrowers and winemakers from around the world. With the start of this new partnership, Gamble’s wines will become available at Greenbrier Sporting Club.
“We’re thrilled to partner with like-minded companies who will help us expand and support our sales efforts in key markets across the US,” says Tom Gamble. “As a small, family owned and operated winery, it is important for us to have personal relationships with our business partners, and we feel confident in the experience and expertise of these distributors.”
About Gamble Family Vineyards:
Founded by third-generation farmer Tom Gamble in 2005, Gamble Family Vineyards owns approximately 175 acres of prime estate vineyards from many of Napa’s most respected AVAs—Oakville, Mt. Veeder, Rutherford and Yountville. Its winery and by-invitation-only tasting room have a quiet presence, sitting modestly in an isolated nook off Highway 29 in the heart of Napa Valley’s Oakville AVA. Set back from the main road, Gamble’s mission here is to carry on the heritage of farming that his ancestors sowed when they came to Napa as cattle ranchers in 1916. With a primary focus on Bordeaux varietals, including Sauvignon Blanc, all of Gamble Family Vineyards’ wines are produced in small quantities, with careful attention to farming. Winemaker Jim Close has been with Gamble Family Vineyards since its inception. Gamble Family Vineyards offers four wines through wholesale/distribution, including the Rosé ($20), Gamble Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc ($25), Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ($50), and Paramount Proprietary Red Blend ($90).
